The Beat on Industry Tradeshows
With record setting numbers at FESPA 2010, the graphics industry’s tradeshow season is back in full swing. Last month, more than 21,000 guests from 130 countries visited Munich, Germany, for a two-day total of 32,504 in attendance.
The hit of the show: looking for innovative solutions and applications to help their wide‐format businesses ride the wave to business success, a record 68 percent of attendees highlighted digital technology as a priority interest area, compared with less than 52 percent three years ago at FESPA 2007 in Berlin. FESPA Americas hits the United States February 24-26, 2011, in Orlando, Fla.
What’s next on our calendars? We’re getting ready for SGIA Expo in Las Vegas, October 12–15, 2010. This year’s expo has a lot in store, including: expert advice zones, like the PDAA Graphics Application Zone, where specialists from MACtac will offer installers hands-on graphics application training and product solutions; hosting its first pre-expo business development meeting to help attendees maximize profitability in specialty imaging; and the usual educational sessions and networking events that have become an industry hit.
